Unlike flat roofing, sloped roofing has a natural pitch defined by the incline of the roof.

Two of the most common forms of sloped roofing installations are shingle and slate systems.  While both offer great longevity and are cost-effective, there are more constraints to installing a slate system due to the weight of the materials and the structural integrity required by the existing building.
